Solar Panel

The solar panel is one of the most important parts of solar street lights, as the solar panel will convert solar energy into electricity. There are 2 types of solar panel: mono-crystalline and poly-crystalline. Conversion rate of mono-crystalline solar panel is much higher than poly-crystalline.

Lighting Fixture

LED is usually used as lighting source of modern solar street light, as the LED will provide much higher Lumens with lower energy consumption. The energy consumption of LED fixture is at least 50% lower than HPS fixture which is widely used as lighting source in Traditional street lights. LEDs lack of warm up time also allows for use of motion detectors for additional efficiency gains.

Rechargeable Battery

Battery will store the electricity from solar panel during the day and provide energy to the fixture during night. The life cycle of the battery is very important to the lifetime of the light and the capacity of the battery will affect the backup days of the lights. There are usually 2 types of batteries: Gel Cell Deep Cycle Battery and Lead Acid Battery and many more.

Controller

Controller is also very important for solar street light. A controller will usually decide to switch on /off charging and lighting. Some modern controllers are programmable so that user can decide the appropriate chance of charging, lighting and dimming.

Pole

Strong Poles are necessary to all street lights, especially to solar street lights as there are often components mounted on the top of the pole: fixtures, panels and sometimes batteries. Precautions For Maintenance Of Solar Street Lights

 

 

Regularly check LED light sources
We need to periodically inspect the lamp caps of LED street lights to see if there is any damage to the lamp caps or if there are any problems with the lamp beads. Some LED street lights often do not light up or the light is relatively dim. On the one hand, it is because the brightness of the lamp head is not enough, and on the other hand, it is because a certain row of lamp beads is damaged; The LED lamp beads are connected in series one by one, and multiple strings of lamp beads are connected in parallel. If one lamp bead is broken, then the other string of lamp beads cannot be used; If a whole string of lamp beads is broken, then all the lamp beads in this lamp holder cannot be used. So we need to regularly check the lamp beads to see if there is any burning phenomenon, and if the lighting angle of the lamp is offset or damaged, in order to adjust it in a timely manner.

The pole of LED street lights is also a very important part, and it is necessary to regularly check whether the lamp body is severely damaged, overturned, or has leakage. No matter what kind of situation occurs, we should deal with it as soon as possible, especially the leakage phenomenon. We should deal with it as soon as possible to avoid electric shock accidents.
1. Use a clean chicken feather duster to gently remove the dust during regular cleaning, and be very careful.
2. If it is a non-metallic sun lamp, it can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, taking care not to touch the power cord.
3. If it is a metal lamp decoration, wipe it with a dry cloth and do not touch it with water.
Pay attention to the aesthetics of the solar street lights pole after installation. Starting from the foundation construction, the straightness of the light positions should be controlled based on the main line, and the linear changes should be reasonably adjusted according to the road design. The light poles should be straight, and the processing welds and maintenance openings should avoid the main direction, and the entire line should be consistent.
